AZ unit 1 late season bull!

Late season rifle in unit 1, 2b, 2c. Nov 25th-Dec 1st. I'm going up 5 days early to scout out the area. Any one have tips, experience or advice for the hunt?

If marginal Snow hunt the snow line south of the 60 East of Vernon.

I helped a guy in 27 late just south of you and it was a tough hunt. , similar country.

At least in 1 you can get up high and glass- which is what I would do.

Lots of elk across the entire unit. Go scout in September during the rut and keep track of where you are seeing the bulls....then in November avoid the areas where you saw bulls with cows in September and hunt anywhere else! I'm just saying those bulls will have peeled off the cows by then and be hanging by themselves in more marginal habitat.

Yeah, my bad…Ive been through there more than a few times and dont remember seeing Vernon.

Love the pie at the cafe in Alpine though….
