What part of WY? I grew up in Cody and the country looks vaguely familiar...
Congrats!

JR, I think I still have a link back to the HooDoo Ranch (McCarty's manage?). And a buddy's family manages one of the big ranches up the N. Fork and in the Meteetsee (never can remember how to spell) area. I need to get back up that way one of these days... but enjoy hunting CO too much!
How did you hunt go (details, pics)?

JR, forgive the brainfart ("How did you hunt go (details, pics)?")... sometimes muti-tasking is dangerous!
You've got to love that area around Cody. I had a buddy that guided the Two-Dot ranch just N of Cody. If it wasn't for the 'out-of-staters must use guides in wilderness areas' law, I'd probably hunt up there more often. It is a dream of mine to hunt deer/elk up in the Thoroughfare (sp?)or the area between Jaskson Hole and the Park (most remote area in the continental USA). It would also be fun to chase BigHorns up the N Fork of the Shoshonee.
Your whitey makes me want to chase one in the GooseBerry area just across the border in MT!
Again, congrats!
BTW, did you get your Antelope up the S. Fork? Growing up, I use to chase 'em up there w/ a bow before 2-a-day football practices started at the end of August. The semi-rugged/rolling country allowed you to spot-stock. Great exercise chasing prairie goats!

Same story for me last year. Went to Eastern Co for MM and ended up taking a 153 Whitey. Oh well, I can now say I have a whitetail. Thanks for the photos.
Gary
Thanks guys for the congrats on the whitey im stoked about this one going on the wall with my mulies and blacktails and now need a good bull to join them.By the way the backstap on this buck is the tastiest venison i have ever had.
Sorry COGRIZ for not responding sooner but unpacking has kept me busy since I made it home. The antelope was shot on the Carter ranch on Marquette creek and the others were all harvested on the hoodoo south of town.I love hunting in this area of Wyoming because of the later season and great people we come across during the season. This was the 5th year back there and plans to return are not going to change any time soon.I would like to hunt some up the north fork some time but most of our party dont like the idea of stomping around in the woods with Mr Griz so we pretty much hunt closer to town or to the east of town for now.We have had some good success north of Heart Mt and keep snoopin around that country with the locals to pull out some bucks from time to time.Great country to just spend time in .Im envious of you for growing up in that part of the country, must have been a blast.Hopefully you can return and fullfill your hunting plans in the wilderness some day.
JR,
Congrats on the nice whitey. The pics are awesome. Thanks for sharing them with us. Lookin' at "killin' whitey" myself now that I'm tagged out on muleys.
