Absolutely no puns intended here...

This past weekend my son harvested his first 2 beaver. We have no idea what a big beaver is and was wondering if someone could tell us what size, length or weight, constitutes a big beaver?

They range from 30-51" head to tail and weigh 40-60lbs

Thanks for the response as we have no clue and was not able to find much on net about their size. They were both right at 45-inches and each scaled near 70#.

I've heard old timers talk of 80 lb beaver but I've never seen 1. Those 70 lb beaver u guys a gettin are huge!
