Bed time buck

I had just got into bed last night and there was a knock on the door. WTH? As soon as I heard who it was I knew it had to be good. My friend had just come off the mountain from hunting.

I have never seen a blacktail buck as big as the one he killed. It is only a 3X3 about 16" wide and about that tall. The bases are 6" and the rack is extremely heavy. Nice eyegards. The buck field dressed at 186 lbs. What a monster! I accused him of sneaking over to Modoc, lol I will tell you that he killed it in B-1 zone.

He doesn't believe in the internet so I doubt he will let me share any photos, but I wish you guys could have seen it.

That buck does sound like a monster blacktail! As you know, a 16X16 and super heavy is nothing to sneeze at and 186 dressed for a true Blackie is up off the scale for normalcy. Too bad he won't let you post it up for us to see but i know how it is cause one of my main hunting pards is the same way.
