Thanks for posting those pictures for me Ron. These picture were taken a few years ago in a Calif. "B" zone. The bottom two pictures were taken on opening day of bow season. The buck was bedded in a patch of manzanita and allowed me to get within 15 feet. I almost walked right by this buck, thinking its antlers were just branches of the bush. Only when I made eye contact after taking a couple of pictures, did it get up a walk away. It would have let me walk right by. I had draw a rifle D2B tag that year and didn't bow hunt. After getting that close to a nice Blacktail, I have seen learned to shoot a bow. The top photo was taken the next day. The buck was about 50 yards from where I saw it the first day. The bases on this buck were bigger than coke cans.
