Congrats on a great bear and an early bear.

How is the snow pack, are you in the far south, middle or upper end of the state and have you seen much activity.

We hunt Idaho every year and are count the days down to head back up this year. Some years the bears are just getting out and about as the season ends and others they get out really early. We have been watching the snow pack, snow melt, tempeture and if needed will leave a week or so early if need be!!!

Shooting for an eleven day hunt starting on the 18th of May in the upper part of the state, but may need to be ready to head out earlier with this years weather and snow pack.

Great bear and congrtas. Any info on conditions would be appreciated.

We hunted waaaaay south of where you will be. I have a buddy in Rathdrum who called on Thurs and said it was snowing hard. Your target time of middle May should be perfect. Pick out a good one!
