Biggest oryx killed this season on any range!

Believe it or not, but we just finished the January stallion hunt and we ended up killing the biggest oryx killed all 2011-2012 season on range! And who would have ever guessed it would have came off stallion! Friday we looked over around 150 oryx and never saw an oryx over 36 inches. Tons of juveniles and broken horns...Saturday we set out and found an absolute FREAK!!! stalked to within 200 yards of the bedded herd and waited for them to get up and start feeding. As soon as the giant bull got up, Franco gave the go ahead to shoot and to our surprise the hunter put a bullet right through the bottom jaw.Ended up chasing this bull the rest of the day trying to finish him off and we were finally successful right before last shooting light. Gilbert measured this bull at 39 1/2 inches with 8 inch bases! Congratulations to Michael Doss the lucky hunter and to everyone else who made the hunt!

His hooves were super over grown, so my guess he was in a real sandy hole somewhere that he never left until saturday. Big mistake!

Darn nice Bull..Congrats to you guys. Too bad the shooter forgot to study Big Game Anatomy 101 would've made a much easier hunt but at least you got him.
