LAST EDITED ON Oct-22-14 AT 12:10PM (MST)[p]We've hunted Boulder (Haws Pasture/Divide Lake area) almost every year for about 40 years and this was by far the worst we ever seen it. 6 guys hunted 4 days and saw less than 20 deer total. I hit all my favorite spots and it was deserted. Even the sign was scarce. Bummed because I took my 8 year old son on his first trip and I would have shot the first legal deer that I saw.
I know the area gets hit hard by the elk guys and just wondered if you saw many deer.
It does seem that as the elk heard has grown in this area the deer hunting has declined.
