Firstcoues,
A little research here on MM and you could have pulled up numerous posts where I have stated just how bad the outfitters in BC are at killing big deer. It really boils down to them missing the boat years ago and never having the desire to catch up. While trophy mule deer are one of the top desired game animals in North America right now, the BC outfitters have focused on other species making mule deer an add on hunt for cheap. Sell a moose or mountain goat hunt and throw in mule deer as a add on, just in case you run into one while hunting the main focus species. This means 99% of the deer the BC outfitters are killing are how should I say, dinks. What you have seen from me and my buddies posted up on MM are pics of hard-core DIY muley nuts. While we are just weekend warriors, we are serious about muleys and literly kick the GOABC's ass' every year. They don't scout year round. They don't have a clue of the monsters living in their territories. They don't watch deer year in and year out, watching them grow. Heck, a lot of them don't even spend any time in their territory except during hunting season. If they hired guides that know trophy deer and paid them to scout like some of the big name US guides, they would start seeing some giants hit the dirt. But when you sell a 7 day deer hunt for 3 grand, there ain't no money left for scouting. Sorry you are just finding about this now. You should have PM'd me when you were looking at coming to BC and I would have given ya the same info I've given numerous MM members that have PM'd me in the past.
