Ok here is the problem. I have never taken a North Anerican Bison with an arrow or any thing else for that matter.
I'm leaving this coming weekend and will be calling a bison out of a friends heard.
probably going to be an old cow but neverless a bison.

What broadhead would you recomend?

HOPING FOR A CLOSE SHOT.
I typicaly shoot Easton AXIS FULL METAL JACKET tiped with 125 grain Muzzy Phantoms.

I do have a backup plan. going to pack along a 300 win mag.
just incase i cann't get with in my range.

I agree. Anything you'd use on elk and moose should do. They'll punch through a rib without a problem. Place your shot.

Now that is the pot calling the kettle black. Place that broadhead in the heart or just above it and your bison should go down in about 10-15 seconds.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-28-12 AT 10:44PM (MST)[p]Just remember a bisons heart is lower in the chest cavity than you would think. aim about 6-8 inches up from the bottem of the chest and you will be good.
