Saw these bulls today. Too bad I had no tag for the unit. 30 yards and closer.

Some good looking bulls in that bunch, nice pics... If I had to guess, I would say unit 54?

Twin Falls county. Yes Unit 54 and the crazy thing is that I hadn't been in this area yet and these elk have been in there for weeks now. I got some decent video of them too. As luck would have it there was a huge bull moose right behind them but I never got a picture of him. I posted another photo in the photography section that is worth a look.

I've never put in for the unit. Do the elk really hang out that low this early in the season?

You would be amazed at where the elk hang out in this and surrounding units.
