Hey guys, Was wondering if any of would help me with some info. I shoot a 300 Win with a load of 70gr of IMR 4831 with a 180 accubond. Figure MV is about 2950fps. Have always sighted in 2"high at a 100yds. If I sight in at 3" high instead what would it hit at 200,300,400,500yds. Thank you in advance.

100: +3"
200: +3"
300: -2.1"
400: -13.3"
500: -31.4"

Zero is 270 yards.

That's according to the calculator, you really need to test it in the field to be sure.

+1 Tony, great reply!!

In the flatter shooting irons, I'm a big believer in 3" high at a hundred yards or simply sight in dead on at 300yds. Either will really help your "holdover" for the bullet drop at 4-5 hundred yds.

To each his own on this one!
