I doubt I am the only one suffering from it. I love the snow, but I can't wait.

Any guesses on location?

Oh man, I'm pick'n up what'ur put down!

Best photo post I've seen in awhile!

Wind Rivers?

I see you sitting on that rock, any fish?

That is exactly what I NEED and DON'T NEED right now, if that makes any sense.

Here's a few from our '06 summer pack trip. Ain't got all the fancy gear/tack and pack string like you do Mulepacker, but we sure have fun. Dad, Uncles, Cousins can't ask for a better time in the backcounty. It's an anual trip, we all count on it every year!

LAST EDITED ON Feb-15-08 AT 03:03PM (MST)[p]That's what I'm talking about, lets get rid of the fever!
Although now I got a hankering for a ribeye over wood coals.
It appears your trip is a little harder than mine, no wonder I can't get rid of the gut.

You are right it is the Wind Rivers, any guess on the drainage?
I did catch a few fish from that rock, seemed like the golden trout couldn't resist whatever I hucked at them, a fish almost every cast.

I am guessing your trip is in the Uintah's. Although in the 9th picture the lake has the same configuration of the main lake in my particular Wind River drainage.

Snort, is that the John Muir (west slope)? Looks an awfull lot like where I hang out over in the Emigrant.

Travis,
The second photo looks like the ride into the Thorofare from Turpin Meadows, but I am guessing you are in the Winds.

Those are some slammer moose in the second post of photos. Show us more.....

Can't compete with the beautiful photo's you guy's are posting ... but here is what we do in So. Utardia when we're sick of winter. Here is miss Lindsey (my youngest daughter)looking into the Grand Canyon with out a net!

elkantler75 hit the nail on the head. Heading out from the Boulder Lake trailhead to the headwaters of the Greenriver.
I imagine it will be a while before a guy can toss a fly in those waters this summer.

i took a nice bull up that drainage in 2003. it was northwest of isabella near pipestone and medina. i dont worry too much about disclosing that location since its a long hard pony trip to get in there. thanks for the memories!!

might have to wait to fish but at least it might put a dent in the drought problem. theres always sheds to pick up in the meantime!!

Loved all the pics shown here, especially yours bucksnort, mostly because I live near there. Not the photographer that a lot of you are but here are a few pics from Cali's Ansel Adams Wilderness
