Can you carry a pistol while bowhunting?

I thought they changed the law to allow it, but speaking with someone from WY they said no. I didn't see anything that said you couldn't in the elk hunting regs.

Also related I have some UDAP bear spray that is past it's expiration. Never been used, but does it really go bad? Only one way to find out and I'm not going to see if it still works on myself!

You can carry a handgun while bowhunting in Wyoming. It is one of the FAQ's on the Wyoming Game and Fish website.

i personally talked with a biologist in Lander. We are allowed to carry now while archery hunting.

About the bear spray. You'll get 10 or 15 feet out of it NOT the 30 it's supposed to do. Go out and let it off for practice and don't be cheap with your safety. Get a new can of counter assault. The pepper is still strong the propellant is weak due to age.
