Here is something to pay attention to if you're one of those people who has recently suffered a fraudulent charge against your credit card. I recently had just such a thing happen and it was on the card I used for my Arizona deer and sheep application. Some POS hacked my card and used it to make a fraudulent charge for $495 at a truck stop in Pennsylvania (I'm guessing he filled a truck with diesel), so my card was frozen and a new card issued. I got credited back the funds once my bank verified it was not me who made the charge, which was easy since I used the card twice on the same day here where I live.
Anyway, I just got a replacement card in the mail yesterday, so I tried to go online to change my card information. As many of you already know, I was not able to update my card since the deadline to change it was last Monday. I just got off the phone with AZGFD, and they advised me that I cannot make a change now for any reason. The only way I can address this is if I manage to draw a deer or sheep tag (I know, extremely unlikely but I do have 17 deer points and 18 sheep points) then they will call me when my card rejects the charge and give me an opportunity to give them the current card.
This is not that big of a deal, unless I happen to miss their calls if this scenario plays out. It would totally suck to lose getting drawn plus lose my bonus points all because some POS stole my credit card and my account number changes.
So, heads up if you too have had this happen to you and pay attention to any calls from Arizona.
BTW, in closing, the lady I spoke with told me that they have not yet charged cards but expect to have that done next week.
