I've got max bonus points on turkey (3 or 4 whatever it is) and I'm beginning to think I may actually draw next year. The problem is I know about as much about turkey hunting as I do about muskox hunting. Sure, I've been out and seen a bunch of them, but never in the spring when they are breeding. I am for sure puting in for the pahvant, what season do you guys think would be the best one for a complete amatuer to get a shot at killing a bird. These are the dates:

early season: 4/3-4/16
middle season: 4/17-5/7
late season: 5/8-5/31

each season is longer than the one before it, suggesting the hunting gets harder, do the birds get pressured from hunting, or are the earlier seasons during the peak of the breeding?

Thanks in advance

You won't go wrong on any of the pahvant hunts....
It is not an easy hunt any way you cut it. However, I had the late hunt and harvested a very nice gobbler: 22lbs, 10 5/8" beard, with the spurs going an 1 1/8". So go for it. you will have a tremendous time on whatever hunt you choose......
