Cleaning your barrel

It seems like the more and more I read on precision shooting the less I really know.
How many people use the bore snake instead of a cleaning rod???
Also how many use a bore guide while cleaning their barrel??
It seemed so simple back in 1972 when I took my hunter safety course and now its like learning all over again.
For me its for many different reasons, or at least I think it is. Not only is it for preserving the life of your barrel, but its also to help be more accurate. Is there anything else anyone would like to add??

Thanks

Chuck

Yes, use a good bore guide and one piece rod.

After hearing of bore snakes breaking in rifle barrels and hardly any way to get them out, I would stay away.

One piece Dewey rod, Dewey jag, Bore guide and Wipe out is all you need to know..pretty simple eh!

P.S, I like a little bore paste and Kroil on some jobs.

There's another good tool to carry in the field called a RapidRod.Weighs a couple ounces and turns into a rigid rod which will remove obstuctions.
