CO 61 2ND SEASON ELK

Debating on using my points for CO 61 elk 2nd season. I have always been leaning to 76 muzz but with my vacation this year it won't be possible. I'll be giving up the rut but from what I have researched the bulls will be a step up in size. My concern is after the pressure of the first rifle will the bulls move to any private, if not I expect they will hole up in the thick oak brush. The extra deer hunters will also effect the hunt I'm sure as well. Just looking for some insight before I dump these points.

Is the cover here similiar to the Books? With all the oak brush I hear about just wondering.

NOT SURE THE ANSWER BUT WONDERING MYSELF. HOW MANY POINTS R YOU LOOKING TO BURN.I HAVE 13 AND LOOKING TO USE THEM THIS YEAR MAYBE? DONT HAVE ANY PERSONAL CANTACTS IN THE AREA BUT SOUNDED A LITTLE OFF THIS YEAR BY WHAT I HAVE READ.NEVER HUNTED THE BOOKS BUT WAS IN THE AREA AND HUNTED 62 IN 06.LOOKS LIKE GOOD TIMBER UP HIGH WITH HEAVY OAKBRUSH LOWER HOLDING ANIMALS EARLY ON.GOOD LUCK
