So long as the length is less than than twice the diameter. You might have to use lighter weights, measure and find out.

The 50 caliber 405 grain hollowpoint is only 7/8 of an inch long, so even that bullet is still legal out of a .5 inch hole (50 caliber). I was using the 405s, but dropped down to the 348 to get a little better trajectory. Either are legal in Colorado.
