So after all the comments from my previous post" San Juan early rifle help" my cousin and I both killed our bulls and got to spend time with our families. I killed my Wasatch bull on the night of day 4 after after spending all my time trying to kill the elusive "growler" bull. After some tough hunting conditions "fog, rain, fog, mud, fog, wind , hail, I was able to locate this bull with some cows and we called him to within in $ 150 yards of the road and sealed the deal right at dark, allowing us to bring him out whole "first time ever". It was too dark to get any good pictures of him on the mountain since my camera was back at camp but I did get a couple after the retrieval. Thanks to my wife for spending 10 days with me, my kids for coming and going when possible, Brinton and Jason for hunting with me and getting him out. And Clint and Danny for helping me learn the area, its great to have great family and friends....
Sorry but I can't get this pic to rotate
My cousin was also successful on his SanJuan Elk Ridge tag with is family and killed this nice bull on day
What a great fall for us both and now looking forward to the deer hunt...
