cow elk late

I am trying to help 3 teenage girls (14,14,and 16) and one teenage boy (16) shoot their first elk and am having a hard time finding elk where I normally find them this year. These kids are new to hunting. They go to my church and I told them I would do my best to get them going. I've taken them up around Divide and Cripple Creek with no luck. Anyone seeing elk near there that I can get these kids on. All are fit and willing to hike for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
