anybody ever hunted with a cross-bow? this will be my first year since being in a accident a while back and i was wondering if there is anything in particular that i need to know?
LAST EDITED ON Jul-31-08 AT 11:55AM (MST)[p]shoot it more than you did your bow. practice as much as you can. get it fine tuned and make sure all your bolts and sight rings are tight. practice out to 60 yds. make sure if you are behind a tree or bush when your buck or bull comes in that yu dont let the limbs hit any branches or trunks because they will go forward when you pull the trigger. it is a horizontal action now instead of vertical. dont bang it around before you hunt. and have fun!! crossbows are a real kick in the pants! www.wyominglostandfound.com
My father in law shoots a crossbow has for three years now and has put more time on 3-ds then I have with my bow in five years. Its definetly diffrent just shoot as much as you can to used to it
