trying to find me a decent muzzy for an upcoming elk hunt. the cva seems like pretty decent gun for the price.can anyone tell me a little about them, good or bad

Not sure about the Wolf but I think the later CVA rifles like the Optima may have Bergara barrels. I would look for that on the barrel. It will say so if it is a Bergara made barrel. The others are OK but the Bergara is a very high quality barrel with a lot of background.

How do you get that kind of information?? Are you associated with CVA or just have good contacts?

I have a new Wolf and it shoots great. As accurate as anything else I hve had.So far I have shot Hornady SST Low Drag Sabots and Powerbelts, withthe Hornady getting a little better accuracy.Settled on 90 grains of FFF Triple 777 with either bullet.
