D3-5 Hunting

I'll be hunting the California D3-5 units this year and wanted to get any info people might have about these units. I will probaly go into the high country around Granite Chief Wilderness D4 and there about. I have not hunted these areas before though I have spent time up in the area. Any info would be highly appreciated. Thanks alot!!

Been in that country a few times, we've killed some bucks. Beware of the bears, buddy had to shoot one in camp,it was pulling on his buck in a tree, they yelled and threw rocks, bear charged..they shot it.Next nite had another bear in camp..about all he ended up with was the horns for a lot of walking(backpack hunt). Says he'll never go back..Good luck!
