Dads 2C Private Land Buck

Here are the pics of the buck my dad shot this morning in 2C. It was a private land only tag. Short and sweet, Im glad dad got this guy but man I wish we were still out there. The rut was just kicking in. This buck was with 13 does, and he was running them around like crazy. It was my first time to hear does bleeting and the buck was grunting as he was tending them, it was awesome to hear that. Sounds just like the old primos deer can! A great year for the late hunt in 2B and they should shoot some giants on the public 2C hunt.

Well we got one more this morning. My buddy was the last guy on the ranch to take his buck. We had an accident on the shot, cought him in the back of the head as he was walking away. Broke the skull plate in two pieces.

It was a great year on the ranch. Got some early rut activity which always helps. Cant wait til next year.
