The second one has been around since it was taken a few years ago when the Bitterroot valley in Montana had a really bad fire season. '05 maybe?

The second one is Bitterroot, not Yellowstone. From the 2001 fires.

FamilyMan is right. That spot is about 25 miles from my house in the Southern Bitteroot Valley, on the East Fork of the Bitteroot River. It was taken by a Forest Service worker. As he was on the job at the time, he recieves no royalties from the photo. One in a million shot. mtmuley
