deer hunt in dec.unit 27

i'm thinking of goin down in dec. to try some deer huntin and would like to know where the best place to start would be any help would be much appreciated?
i've been there before but not hunting just driving around enjoying the country looking at sheep and elk. oh ya the wolves too. heard them but didn't see them, how i don't know they seemed to be within 100 yrds or so but couldn't spot them.

I would check and see if there have been any burns in the last 3-5 years. Glass the burns and trails in and out of the burns.

freaknasty, if you are thinking of archery hunting unit 27 in December, you might want to check the regulations.
If you have a December rifle hunt then the best of luck to you.
