Disabled hunter

If the person is disabled they can get a permit to hunt from a motorized vehicle. My uncle did it, and shot an elk when he was 88 years old.

You need to check the off road travel restrictions for off road vehicles for the zones and National Forest travel plans through the USFS.

There are a lot of restrictions in SE Idaho. Units 75, 76, 77, 78. Contact the local USFS in those areas for a copy of there off road travel plans. You can find the website for USFS then select the State, etc. good luck,

Most areas allow you to use an off road vehicle anywhere a regular vehicle can travel. If you are issued a disabled permit through IDFG for going into closed areas. That permit still does no good if the USFS has closed off areas with there travel plan. Big money ticket if you get caught these days. They use a lot of trail cams , get pics of the off road lic. Sticker and just send the ticket in the mail to the registered owner.
