My Grandpa shot one in Grand Junction when I was a kid.

It was supposed to be a meat buck and was a small three point with spindly antlers. He had a buck tag and got checked by the Game Warden who signed the tag as a buck for him. I believe it was around 68 or 69

Yeah my dad shot a doe believing it was a buck north of Grand Junction in the late 80?s early 90?s. She had a long spike (12-14?) in velvet, in early November. Also talked to a game warden about it and obviously it's legal because it was antlered.

I wonder if it has had fawns.

I killed a cow elk with antlers back in the early 2000's a 4x4 cow.

Looked just like a bull other than she was missing some parts.

I was hunting Antelope with a buddy up around Elk Mountain Wyoming probably 25 years ago. My friend killed a nice 15 to 16 inch Buck Antelope, we took pictures and when we went to gut it there were female organs and tucked up inside was a small sack with two little pea sized balls in it. So I guess he got a little of both.

When I was a kid my dad and I watched on get shot on a 3 pt or better unit, it was a massive 2 pt, like 36? or so and heavy like crazy, like your forarm, and it was in velvet in October . The shooters ran off when the saw it was a 2 pt. I hiked back the next spring to get the deadhead, just the bases of the antlers were there - the actual bone was very thin, crazy - wish this would have happened in the age of everyone having a camera on them at all times, it was just massive, pics would have been cool.

This was on the oak creek unit
