LAST EDITED ON Apr-16-10 AT 09:11PM (MST)[p]Just found out my dad drew this tag! Just wondering if anyone out there has hunted this unit or had the tag in the past. Any help would be appreciated.
Kilowatt,
Thanks for the info. That wasn't a bad buck at all. No monster but nice. We are looking at having a great time reguardless if we have tag soup or not. Just being out in the field together on a quality hunt is all we ask for the 10 points burned. just hoping on finding a nice mature buck, spending alot of time outdoors, is what we want. Thanks again,
Hunterturbo
you best start praying for weather right now. If there are some good snows in the high country there will be lots of deer and a good change of a 180+ buck, if not you are hunting resident deer and they are scattered far and few but always a good buck or two just hard to find.
Thanks for the info. I was asuming it was weather dependant. If there is alot of weather which is what we are hoping for. Do you see the ammount of deer like you would in the Bookcliffs? I would assume not, tons of deer there. Anyway thanks for your input, Hunterturbo
Dont over look down low by both of the rivers if there is no snow and hot weather. There are resident deer that are unpressured, just not alot of numbers..
Thanks,
I have recieved all my topo maps for the area, We have the entire hunt off work, Google earth has bee scoured. Just waiting for a trip soon to get the lay of the land. I have heard rumors of a area that is a walk, backpack roadless area that has very little pressure. Would not mind camping out afew nights if there is such a place.
