An "all in hunter" spoke at the noon auction. Go Donald Trump for President! We'll all be better off, in the hunting community. By the way, Jr. never said a word about the political elections in progress.

Don't get me wrong as I always prefer to see a pro hunter no matter what state they hail from or their choice of hunting method. That being said, as a DIY guy and a guy who is definitely middle class, these wealthy guys rarely have the same view of hunting access as I.

Go read Trumps interview on Bowsite, I think you may be pleasantly surprised about the hunts he does. He is the only Republican candidate who wants to protect access. He's also a Life Member of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, the preeminent hunters group fighting to protect access.

Grizzly---The interview with Jr. on Bowsite was good. However, he and his brother are the passionate hunters, not their Dad. I don't believe their Dad ever hunts or goes outdoors other than from his plane to his copter from statements he's made during interviews. Sr., however, has come out and said in an interview along with Jr. that they are not for transfer of the public lands. However, that still leaves me with a big question mark as to whether that's true since he's a big business man and I believe he has even used politicians to declare eminent domain in order to acquire properties that he's built on to add to his empire. If he's the choice of the Republican Party I'll certainly take the chance and vote for him over the two goof balls that are fighting it out on the Dem side. One should be in prison and the other is such a Socialist that there is no way I'd vote for him.

Topgun, you are correct that Trump Jr. is the serious hunter, but Trump Sr. has said he's deferring to his sons on public land advice and I guess all we can do is take his word for it. It's not like Trump has shown a penchant for editing his beliefs to the crowd, I think its clear he says what he wants regardless to how it is perceived.

I guess I don't see a way that Trump Sr. makes major inroads towards selling public lands and ignores his sons... I guess it could happen, but he's the best we got.

My point from the bowsite interview was mainly that Trump Jr. doesn't appear to be a private land-only hunter. It looks to me like he is more like the rest of us than most billionaire hunters seem to be.

Yesterday, I had a chance meeting with Trump jr. My wife and I took the opportunity to chat with him for several minutes.
Not a word about politics was spoken.
Charming fellow and seems like a really down to earth guy who loves the hunt and time spent around a campfire.
If Sr. hets in, Jr would have his ear and our back. At least I'll believe that until I see otherwise. Beats the hell out of the demo side.

One thing that some folks are over looking is that Trump Jr. is definitely and "in" so to speak as a voice for hunters. None of the other candidates offer that on either side of the fence. Cruz claims he hunts, but it appears more for show than go, and he is not interested in protecting public lands at all. So basically if gun right and hunting are a priority to you, at this point the Trump family has more to offer than anyone else like it or not.
