The past two weeks I have gotten to spend with my dad and my little brother doing one of our favorite things to do: hunting!
Last Sunday, my little brother Kade got his first buck. He made a great shot and was very excited. (although I think Dad might have been just as excited as he was.) It was really really cool to be there with him! We were all really proud...I can't wait to continue hunting with him.

I wasn't able to get anything that weekend, so after a long week of waiting, we gave it another shot.
We went up early Friday morning. It was COLD. Like 11 degrees cold...but we didn't let that stop us. Within the first 30 minutes of daylight, we found a buck. Last week I was being a bit picky because it was my fourth buck, but since it was the last week of season I decided to take him. Granted, after we shot mine a huge buck walked out right in front of us. But like dad says, size doesn't matter. it was a wonderful morning...and yet again I get to go back to school and make fun of all the guys who underestimated me

These hunts are the kinds things that I feel extremely lucky for. Getting to spend my weekends in beautiful Colorado with my dad and brother, the feeling you get when you hold up your animal right after you shoot it, hugging your dad after you pull the trigger, getting to see your brother shoot his first animal, looking through the scope and getting SO nervous, and everything wonderful that goes along with it, those are things I wouldn't trade for the world.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
