Eastern CO. Whitetail?

I know this is MonsterMuleys, But seeing all the leftover whitetail tags I'm thinking about trying for one. Anyone have any general info on the area around Limon or out that way, is there any deer there? I would assume there's tons of ranches and PL but just curious as to what you all think.

There are some great deer to be hunted out in those units (105, 106, 107, 112, 113, 114), but it's Eastern Colorado and mostly private - very little public ground. Getting permission or access is the tough part. Good luck with your search.

Here's a pic of a Colorado river rat I just got. Muley's right, it's dang near all private. You'll have to knock on lots of doors or go outfitted.

I doubt if you find any leftover tags in the "good" units. All of the hotspots take 3-4 PP to draw. Bonny Reservior is an example. Most, if not all, of the leftover tags are for the plains units and finding a whitetail in those units is tough.
