I hunted Eastern Co last year in unit 127 guided. A lot of that land on the plains is private so guided is almost a must. Like the guy said before bring $$$. I have never been guided before but had a great experience with terrific guides. We were after big mulies and saw a few but like they say they don't grow on trees. We ended up taking 2 150 plus whitetails
OSOK,
I hunted 1 of those units this year and realized I could have drew it with 3 instead of 4 points. oh well
Dont expect to see a lot of deer. It took me 3 scouting trips to finally see some does. the area was new to me.
Cant go wrong with a guide. Check out Scott Limmer with Comanche wilderness outfitters. I know he hunts out east but I cant say anyhting about his operation.

Okiebugle, I went with Adventures Wild Outfitters. ( advwild.com) Didn't see alot of Mule deer. Enough though. alot in the 22-25 in range and one monster that we couldn't catch up to. 2 other guys in camp killed a 189 8x9 and 180 5x4. 1 thing I can say is all those deer out there have MASS!! We did seen alot of whitetails. Big BC type whitetails. My hunting partner pasted a 180 whitetail opening day just because we were after mulies. The guide thought he was nuts. We didn't start thinging about whitetails until day 5 of our hunt.

Short of the long. They've been pretty well wiped out do to the CWD issue at hand. If this were 5 years ago! We might could work something out. Unfortunately things change. Sometimes a hell of a lot faster then we mighta wished, and fore the worst.
On a side note. I've met and spoke w/ Scott several times. He seems like a great guy. Also, from having been in the know w/ the east thing as long as I have. You should have a great shot at taking a nice buck whomever you decide to go w/ out of the 2 mentioned.
