Eastman's Oregon Mule Deer article

Anyone catch the Oregon mule deer story in this month's Eastman's? It was nice to see a good Oregon buck in the magazine. Any guesses on where they got him? I live in Burns, and I can't quite place any of the pictures, but it looks like a lot of the country in Malhuer and Harney counties...

That is an awesome Oregon buck. Don't know where it was killed but, I would rule out E. Whitehorse and Owyhee units, been in there, but who cares it's a great buck...

Yup - that is a heck of a buck for anyplace. If the story is correct on the facts, then it has to be a central Oregon unit hunt based on how often they draw the tag, which they said they seem to get ever year or 2, not many units can be drawn with zero or 1 preference point. But regardless, that is a really nice buck. But, then again I suppose it could be some units around Grant county also, who knows..
