Elk OTC in Zion

Hello all,

I plan on going to the Zion unit for OTC Elk. While I know the area pretty well for deer, not so much for Elk. Also with the fire this year I am not sure what folks are seeing. I have some areas I want to try but I have limited time as most of do. I know it will be busy up there so any advice would be nice. I am also open to guided or semi guided in that unit. There are a few elk, and they are hard to find. I don't know anyone who guides elk on the Zion. Most of the bulls are killed on private lands not public.

The bulls on public are easier to find during archery season.

Which hunt are you looking at? Gun will be a zoo and elk get pushed to private. 1st light if opening day will be your best bet.
