I am currently considering 81, 84, 85, elk units (but I would look at other units that fit my criteria). I currently have an "H" deer tag (no general elk tag).

I am not looking for your honeyhole. I am looking for a place where I can hunt DIY (NR so no wilderness) and get in at least 2-3 miles over rough country.

Once I combine decent elk and deer numbers, general elk, region "H" deer and large, rough remote are not wilderness the list shortens quit a bit. Still a lot of ground. Any units/rough areas you might suggest I consider? PM me so as not to let the world know.

I will study my own maps, figure out where to go and how to get in there etc. I just need to narrow down this large area.

Thanks

All three of the unit your looking at are good you just need to get back in there and hunt. You will see game. General elk tag in Wyoming is a draw tag for non residents (about 40% odds).
