Elko/Wells Game Processor

Hey Nevada Guys. Looking for the best game locker in Elko or Wells. I have a Nevada Deer tag, and a Colorado 1st Season Elk tag, so I will be going straight from Nevada to Colorado. I would like to drop off (hopefully) a Nevada Deer at the locker and pick it up on my way home to Cali.

There are none in Wells but I have the names of 2 or 3 in ELKO area and the name of the ones we used back in 2005. There is also one in Ely I can give you the name of too that does a good job.

How were the ones in Elko? Thinking I can drop it off in Elko, (I have an area 6 tag) let it hang for 5 days or so, have them process it, and pick it up on the way back from colorado. I drew a 1st season 76 elk tag there, so should be gone about a week.

The guy that did 3 bucks for us back then works out of his garage/butcher shop. But everything was clean and well packaged. The last two were like overnighters, but not fully frozen so we had to buy Dry Ice in Spring Creek and drive back to CA. Worked for us but for hanging and storage for a week not sure but you could ask him or his wife if it could be possible concerning your plans.

My dad and I found a guy there last year who let us hang our bucks a few days for a little cash and beer while we fished after our hunt. Wish I could remember his name, cool guy. I would definitely go to him again.

Kraft is the guy mentioned on Montrose. Ill try to get the other guys name. Have not used him but I have always heard good things.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-09-12 AT 01:40PM (MST)[p]We used Mike Brozovich out in Spring Creek, he did a very good job for us and even with a late call the evening that 2 bucks were taken and I told him we would like to get them back the following morning if at all possible and he said OK. But we need to get Dry Ice to keep the partial freeze cold on the drive home.

We highly rec Mike and his wife for their desire to help us and did an excellant job. They both work other jobs, so you might have to keep calling till you reach one of them and talk about your plans. Good luck on your hunts. Mike works in the Gold Mine areas for a steady job.

Mike Brozovich has retired from meat cutting and will not take new customers. He wants to concentrate on his owne hunting. I have used Martin Kraft and Mark Torrence and they both do great work. Mike Brozovich is a personal friend of mine and also does great work but does not want to do it in the future. fatrooster.
