when i have done my own euros in the past i didnt have to be concerned with the velvet. how do i prevent damage to the velvet when simmering my skull. do i need to flush the horn with some kind of preservative befor or after working the skull? any help would be verry apreciated

First, I would not boil your skull. You will loose all the nasal cavity bones, the teeth will probably crack and you just don't get as nice of a job. Find a guy that has beetles and you'll be way ahead. First, you need to inject your velvet and preserve that first.
I did three euros this year with velvet using my beetles. Use clay around the base all around the bottom of the antler. Cover the antlers with a plastic bag and let the beetles clean them up. Then do your whitening.

Freeze drying is an excellent way to preserve velvet if you can find a local guy that can do it. I don't think I would ship antlers to someone to freeze dry them only because it would probably damage the raw velvet in shipping or when you wrapped them to protect them.

macerate the skull never "simmer" preserve the antlers by injecting them with formaldahyde or preservit antler in velvet fluid
