Expandables??

Anyone one have any recommendations and or horror stories on expand ables where they didn't perform??

You could spend days on the internet reading about the pros and cons. Try the search function on any archery forum and you'll have enough to keep you entertained. I usually use fixed blades but when I do use a mechanical (for light skinned game and when anticiapting long shots)I used a Rocket Steelhead.

I have used both expandable broadheads and fixed, I used fixed for 8 years before I switched to expandables, I lost an elk that season, I think because of lack of penitration, the arrow from what we could tell by the hit, wacked a rib bone and really did not sink or pass like I have experienced with fixed blades. I am not saying It was a great shoot by any means, but I expected more performance from the expandable. The ease of tunning in my mind is not worth the risk!

Just my Opinion.
