Expo Hunt Validation

My current UT hunting license expires Feb 16. I can apply online for Expo tags before it expires. Do I need a valid license when I validate in person at the Expo?

I think I've done this before, but I can't remember.

No, I believe you only need a valid license when you select/pay for the hunts you want.

I believe that is correct which is how I've done it as you can at least get 2 years out of your lisc. instead of buying 1 each year.

Correct, valid upon application. The only ID I've ever been asked for was a drivers license to prove you're the right person.

SORRY FOR THE QUESTION, BUT I WILL BE NEW TO THIS EXPO TAG DRAW IN 2016. DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CURRENT UTAH HUNT LIC. TO BUY CHANCES AT THE EXPO TAGS????? IS THAT WHAT I AM HEARING........THANKS .................YD.

Yes YD, you do.
You need a valid, current hunting license when making initial application for any Utah tag... You need to take State photo ID so they can verify your identity when you validate your apps at the expo.
