Deadline extended for online big game hunt applications

The Arizona Game and Fish Department has extended the deadline for applying online for the 2006 fall big game hunts for another 24 hours, until 7 p.m. (MST) Wednesday, June 14.
The deadline is being extended because technical problems with the online application system prevented some customers from submitting their application by the original June 13 deadline. The extension is only for online applications and not for paper applications submitted by mail or hand delivery.
The online application process is available at azgfd.gov.
Hunt permits are allocated through the big game draw, a lottery-style process for distributing the limited number of Arizona big game hunting permits to applicants. The department typically receives far more applications than there are available permits for the fall draw.
