Just looked at the FCFS site and a 194-196 nr late archery tag was there. I couldn't resist that impulse buy. Minus a few days at Christmas, I can take off most of the second half of the season. Something to do!

Congrats on a great opportunity to chase after some winter bucks.

Great tag to grab. Been trying to draw that for years. Like stated above, through FCFS was over. Even if I saw it I would not of applied. Just got home earlier this week from being gone 6 weeks hunting. Wife would probably shoot me if I left to hunt again. Besides, I have a freezer full of meat to vacuum seal.

Lucky! I've been burning my eyeballs out watching for this tag. What time did it come up?

4:54 am this morning. I wish I could just take off, but can't until the 16th, due to both work and family stuff. Oh well, it's a bonus surprise present and I only had 2 points.

It was up when I woke up. I woke my wife up to talk to her about it before I took it. That's at least 5 minutes, not counting the time it was up prior to me checking in.

If it was legal to hunt my backyard I would let you. I hunted the rifle with my stepmom and my buddy during the rifle. They just started a he rut this week. It you have any questions shoot me a PM.

It was fun, had nice bucks to chase. I didn't get one, but on bof the more enjoyable hunts I have had anyway.

With the lack of snow there just weren’t the numbers of deer concentrated at lower elevations I was hoping for. It was still a super fun hunt and I saw bucks every day I went out. But only a couple of them were decent bucks. I ended up not being able to pass up an easy shot on this guy just before Christmas.
