Finding a taxidermist

I've never shot any big game worth mounting, but I hope to change that next week on an aoudad hunt. All of the taxidermists in my area (north Colorado) that I've called have said that they have never mounted one before, but would be more than willing to give it a whirl. Would you feel comfortable having someone mount an "new" animal if their other work was top notch? All of the deer, elk, antelope, and african game that I've seen in their shops look good to me. thanks.

There are not many different sizes of aoudad forms and they vary so much, more so than most other ungulates in my opinion. If your taxidermist is experienced at altering forms than I would say have at it. My taxidermist has done several including mine and his own and they turned out awesome. He is near colorado springs.
