Here is a video of a bull that I got on one of my trail cams. His right horn has a deformity that I have seen on bulls before. I actualy killed one very similar to this one a few years ago.I have seen several here on MM over the years that members have killed. 6chukar has a recent post that has a picture of his wifes bull that has a similar deformity.
My question is, does anyone know what causes these deformities?
I do not believe that it is caused by an injury. The pedicel is always down on the side of the head.It is obvious on the skull of my bull that the pedicel has not been broken or damaged it just grew in the wrong place.
I'm just curious to know what would cause this. Anybody got any ideas,or have have a medical explanation for this condition?
