Hello all

I'm currently seeking to draw one of these areas for mule deer. We're just trying to get lucky so I don't have to use my points. Looking to have a fun hunt and have an opportunity to see some game and shoot something. We are in shape and willing to stray away from the open path. Any info would be appreciated.

thanks thats what i wanted to hear. i narrowed it down to gmu 60 and 85 2nd rifle. would you happen to have any info on these two units such as camping spots etc. just looking for a place to start scouting. thanks for your help

When I was looking at GMU: 60 for elk I heard several stories of problems with landowners trying to keep DIY guys out of public land. Enough stories I gave up on the unit for the time being. Do not know how true the stories were but where there is a lot of smoke.........

I would avoid unit 85. The little public land in that unit gets crowded. I think you would be disappointed. If you have a line to access private you would have a good hunt.

It will take some serious luck to draw a 60 tag as 2nd choice. Myself and my family put it for our 2nd choice every year and have only drawn it once out of the 6 of us since 2004.
