Golden Eagle vs. Coyote

Well it was actually 22-250 vs coyote. I shot this small coyote a while back and when I went back to hunt the area two days later I saw this. I always wondered what would eat a coyote. Thought it was cool.

It took about a week for the eagles to start eating this coyote. I shot him off the back porch.

Golden in the morning.

Speaking of eagles vs coyotes, I did watch an eagle giving a coyote all kinds of trouble a few years ago. The coyote was running down a bare ridge, taking quick looks back over his shoulder, and the eagle was following him, about 5 feet above him, dive bombing him with his claws every chance it got. That was one scared tuck tailed doggie!
