I’m just going to be hopeful for now that they won’t breed and establish packs down this way because there is no elk or decent deer populations to thrive on. I hunt these counties for deer and while I’m successful on bucks the overall population is abysmal...I don’t mind seeing wolves in Alaska but they have no place here with 40 million people that took away all the good habitat for all wildlife. But make no mistake, our fish and wildlife department focuses all their funding on predator research and monitoring from cash they make off deer tags and donations from groups like the center of biodiversity. They really don’t care enough about ungulates in our state.
