Great day with Tez

Took my mountain cur, Tez, out about a couple months ago to chase a coyote or two and had a pretty good day. This spot I usually like to hit a little early because once the deer hunts start then it's almost impossible to call in anything.
Well the first 4-5 stands we blanked but it didn't seem to bother Tez.

It was starting to warm up but I knew there was a coyote to be called...
On our 6th stand we called in 1/2 a dozen does and fawns and they sure didn't like Tez being there. I had to almost stand up a couple of times because they were getting really close.

Well after playing with the deer for 5 minutes they all looked down the draw at something and I knew that it was a coyote. Sure enough another 30 seconds and we had a big male about run us over. Hackles were up and he was ready to eat Cur for breakfast, but he was no match for the R-15.

After the shot I heard several coyotes howling down at the bottom of the draw so we only moved about 300 yards and started calling again. 2 minutes in we had a pup crest a hill at 150 yards but didn't want to tango with Tez so the R-15 barked again.

By that time it was too hot so we packed up and headed home.
