With reports of poor antler growth. If you were a max point holder and had the buck tag this year, would you consider turning it back in?

Its always dry in the Henry Mountains.

With the fires a few years ago, even in dry time, the grass is still pretty good.

I would not turn a Henry's tag back in ever.

same hill bottom pic this year top pic last year the bucks were within 50 yards of each other just different years. heck might even be the same buck. last year the feed stayed greener longer but the feed this year looks to be the same as last just not as green. keep looking and you will find the one you like and want. if not you still have plenty of time assuming since you have max points you have the rifle tag. if you dont find the one you like or want a week or 2 before the hunt turn it in.

I have 8 points for elk and 8 points for deer. I drew a le elk and a le deer tag . So I would have more point except for that . Oh and 18 for bison.

Well actually I drew a southwest pronghorn tag in 92 before the new point system started. Then drew a commance le buck tag in 93 . A le fish lake elk tag in 94. So how do you like those apples ? Do you want to here about the other tags my family members have drawn out on ?
